Position Overview
As a Digital Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, utilizing advanced digital presses and software to create materials according to client specifications. Your responsibilities will include operating Canon ix and Canon 9010 digital presses, as well as operating digital web presses, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
Responsibilities
- Efficient operation of Canon ix and Canon 9010 digital presses, ensuring optimal performance and output quality.
- Operation of digital web presses (HP, Canon or Screen) to meet production demands.
- Calibration and maintenance of equipment to achieve optimal G7 color and reproduction quality.
- Application of color theory principles to ensure accurate color reproduction.
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and resolving print quality issues promptly.
- Self-management to meet scheduled deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Organization and maintenance of the work environment to uphold efficiency and safety standards.
Background and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating digital presses.
- Experience with Canon presses and related software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Acrobat.
- Strong understanding of color theory and calibration techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of paper stocks and varieties.
- Ability to operate multiple presses simultaneously to optimize productivity.
Schedule
- Full-time.
- Five days a week - 8-hour shift.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Location
- In-person at our Troy, Michigan location.
Salary
- $20 - $27, commensurate with experience.
